Introduction

  Hello there, friendly faces. I am a new blogger here going through the rounds. My name is Brenden Van Holtz (Van is not my middle name, won't say what though). This is my first post, and it is all about myself and what I'll speak about in this blog

For starters, I am a fan of animation and the arts. No surprise there, considering a lot of people do so. Someday, I wish to be like one of the greats. I am an artist, an amateur one at that. I may show my artwork in the future, who knows.

The purpose of this blog is to let me speak about what I like, what I learned, how to do art and such (maybe), and what I think. Some posts may be reviews, some may be normal stuff, some may be rants, just stuff that I would like to talk about.

For arts, I'm into wild and crazy stuff. Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, Basil Wolverton, Ren & Stimpy (besides John Kricfalusi, who I would make a series of posts about why I have a severe distaste for him), and The Brothers Grunt are few of my influences. Popping eyeballs, wrinkles, bizarre expressions, and surreal art styles are my favorite! That's not to say that I only like them. I don't wanna come off as an elitist who only wants to praise the Golden Age.

Honestly, I wanna work in the animation and cartooning industry when I grow up. I would like to work with studios like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, which provide great content. Maybe I would make my own cartoon someday.

I had mixed feelings if I should do a blog or not. On one hand, I would meet up with new faces and speak my mind about stuff. On the other, the Internet is a wild and crazy place. I eventually decided to do this blog because of certain topics I wanna talk about in detail. Maybe I can make new friendships with big artists and small.

Also, I am a meme-lover. Not into edgy (race, sex, gender, etc.) memes, just so you know. Just funny ones that anybody can really enjoy.

And I'm off, to do work and such. Probably some school later on, but I promise to deliver on more posts, memes, and art in the future
